The general moral in the Hammurabi Code is that he makes orders in his society for them to follow the laws. The code was engraved on a stone placed throughout the empire and the codes dealt with crimes but also a variety of other areas. For example, code 141: if man’s wife decided to leave and neglected her husband, then she shall be prosecuted. If her husband does not divorce her, he can remarry and she remains a slave in his house. The moral of this code was that women can not just leave her husband and neglect him when giving everything.
