Over the centuries many scholars and certain individuals have developed an interest for both interdisciplinary in international relations. It is vastly becoming common for theories, methods and concepts to be borrowed from other fields. It seeks to understand a variety of global issues, foreign affairs, geopolitical interaction of nations within the international system. Before international relations became its own discipline studies it was a bunch of rules governed by various other problems and questions dealt with from various angles whose disciplines had a connection elaborated. In the past, the study of International relations theories were usually limited to geo-political variables. Today, the approach to studying IR theories is essentially interdisciplinary in orientation and global in application. This discussion will highlight and further debate on various issues. It will explain on how international relations is built on its interdisciplines or if it is created by those interdisciplines. It will further debate on whether it is true that is sinking and losing its name.
International relations deals with variety. That is why it is said to be a field of interdisciplinary. The field flourished as the result of a number of factors developing such as growing demand to find less-dangerous and more-effective means of conducting relations between peoples, societies, governments, and economies; a surge of writing and research inspired by the belief that systematic observation and inquiry could dispel ignorance and serve human betterment; and the popularization of political affairs, including foreign affairs. In international relations the field deals with lives of our daily as global markets, the World Wide Web, and foreign travel stimulate a flood of people, products, and ideas across national borders. In academic studies International Relations is an interdisciplinary program that enables you to develop an in-depth understanding of international relations by combining the insights and perspectives of different disciplines, such as Economics, History, Political Science, Geography, Anthropology, and Asian Studies, with the study of languages.
It also deals with several theories.in normative theory has it that international relations makes the world a better place and the worldview aims to do so by being aware of implicit assumptions and explicit assumptions that constitute a non-normative position and align or position the normative towards the loci of other key socio-political theories such as political liberalism, Marxism, political constructivism, political realism, political idealism and political globalization. (Smith, 2008). Epistemology and the International relations theory aim to make a duplicate of methods of the natural sciences by analysing the impact of material forces. They focus on features of international relations such as state interactions, size of military forces, balance of powers etc. epistemology also rejects the idea that the social world can be studied in an objective and value-free way. Positivist theories include realism focuses on state security and power above all, liberalism has it that individuals are basically good and capable of meaningful cooperation to promote positive change, neoliberalism seeks to update liberalism by accepting the neorealist presumption that states are the key actors in international relations and regime theory is derived from the liberal tradition that argues that international institutions or regimes affect the behaviour of states.
Interdiscplinaries in international relations seek to solve majors issues ,current situations and trends encompassing our daily lives such as globalization, global economy, global finance, trade, capitalism, geopolitics, development, terrorism, state sovereignty, peace and security ,climate and human rights just but to name a few. It provides a clear whole figure of global phenomena. It expands the bases of study and relates value of such approach increases.it essentially makes international relations in particular to be self-sufficient and reliable.in short, while an interdisciplinary approach broadens the analysis of seeking to solve major issues and situations surrounding different nations international relations becomes independence.
The major players in the field of international relations are different institutions that have helped manage the world
