Women’s March
On January 21, 2017 a worldwide protest occurred known as the Women’s March. The Women’s March was to advocate the legislation regarding human rights and other issues including women’s rights, immigration reform, LGBTQ rights, worker rights, etc. The Women’s March involved millions of people protesting for women’s rights, mostly of the protest were for President Donald Trump because of the previous things he has said that most people saw as anti-women offensive statements.
Women and men have the same equal rights, but mostly women are seen as fragile and not capable of doing work that is considered to be manly. Women are also humans and they should have the same equal rights as men. Women will usually get disrespected or put down for trying to do something that is not nature to women, so after The President’s inauguration millions of people protested outside of the white house and President Trump’s reaction was seen as a troll because he tweeted, “Beautiful weather all over our great country, a perfect day for all Women to March. Get out there now to celebrate the historic milestones and unprecedented economic success and wealth creation that has taken place over the last 12 months. Lowest female unemployment in 18 years!”. It started off fine but then he encouraged people to go out and march for the Women’s march which is odd because the people were marching against Donald Trump failure of leadership.
